OEM Customisation Process

A clear OEM workflow from brief to branded product.

  1. Requirements & spec sheet — we take your target spec, materials, dimensions, branding and price point.
  2. Sample & tiering — a pre-production sample to lock frame, fabric, stitching and finish.
  3. Production — batch production against an agreed spec and QC stage.
  4. Packaging & branding — custom logos, hangtags, cartons and optional retail packaging.
  5. Pre-shipment inspection — loaded, verified and documented before dispatch.

MOQ Information

OEM runs on flexible MOQs so you can pilot a sku before scaling. Trial orders typically start from 10 units per SKU.

Tell us your target volume and we will quote MOQ, price tiers and lead time together.

Quality Control

We build to your spec and inspect against it. Our in-house QC covers frame, fabric, stitching, zip, padding and finish, and we can complete pre-shipment inspection reports for your records.

Factory Proof

We are a supply chain partner, not a middleman — our production process and quality control are part of what you buy. We support product documentation for your target market and confirm the documentation your specific order needs before production. Factory audits and third-party inspections are welcome as part of supplier qualification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

We offer flexible MOQs. Trial orders typically start from 10 units per SKU, and we can accommodate mixed-container loads for established partnerships.

Do you offer OEM and private label?

Yes. We provide full OEM/ODM support including custom logos, colours, packaging design, and product modifications under your brand.

What is your typical lead time?

Standard production is 30 working days after sample approval, plus 25-35 days sea freight to UK/EU ports. Air freight is available for urgent orders.

Do you provide samples before a bulk order?

Yes, we recommend ordering samples to evaluate quality. Sample costs are typically credited against your first bulk order.

What is the MOQ for OEM fishing chairs?

Trial orders for OEM fishing chairs typically start from 10 units per SKU on a standard specification. The minimum you are quoted is the highest of several floors: fabric or material minimums, mould, jig or pattern setup, branding setup such as print, badges or woven labels, and production changeover. A new frame mould or a bespoke fabric colourway raises that floor well above the trial level, while standard material, an existing platform and label-based branding keep it at the trial level. If you need fewer units than your specification triggers, the practical route is a trial order on standard specification rather than a smaller run of a custom one. See the MOQ guide.

How long does fishing gear production take?

Production typically takes 30 working days after sample approval, and sea freight to UK and EU ports adds around 25-35 days in transit. Timing is set by the longest of three things: material lead time, tooling or print setup on a first order, and factory scheduling around peak season. A repeat order on an existing specification sits at the fast end of that range; a first order that needs a new mould, a bespoke fabric or a printed shell adds sampling and tooling time ahead of the run. See the manufacturing process.

Can fishing brands customize products?

Yes. OEM and ODM work covers the frame or shell specification, fabric and colourway, dimensions and geometry, branding such as logos, badges and woven or printed labels, and packaging such as retail-ready cartons, hangtags and barcodes. Customization that needs new tooling, a bespoke fabric run or a print setup carries its own minimum and is quoted separately before production starts; changes that reuse standard material and label-based branding do not move the minimum. See the private label guide.

How do I choose a reliable fishing gear manufacturer?

Check four things, in this order. First, a written specification: materials, dimensions and tolerances rather than a category name. Second, the quality system: what is inspected on incoming material, in process and before shipment, and whether you receive a pre-shipment report. Third, documents: ask each supplier for the current test reports and certificates covering the exact product and material you are buying, and treat a vague answer as a no. Fourth, sample behaviour: whether they will produce a sample against written criteria and credit the sample cost against the order. A supplier who quotes a price before asking for your specification has shown you how the rest of the order will go. See the supplier audit checklist.
